Chris and Polly Myers, open their garden in Bempton village for 'The National Gardens Scheme' ( gardens open for charity  and listed in the 'Yellow Book'). This takes place on Saturday and Sunday 4th and 5th of August this year. The Myers live at Mansion Cottage, 8, Gillus Lane, Bempton, Bridlington. Last year I donated to their open garden days a selection of sea-bird cards taken at RSPB Bempton and Flamborough. Monies raised from the cards support the 'Yellow Book' charities (MacMillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care, Help the Hospices and Cross Roads Care.)

I dedicated my cards in memory of my friend Val Stubley, who was Head of Art at Salendine Nook High School, Huddersfield. Sadly Val died from a cancer related illness. Val taught me to always observe, then look again and again at my subject. Thank you Val, you inspired me.

My sea-bird cards will be on sale again on Chris and Polly Myers National Gardens Scheme open garden days 2012.
